AMX Project managers have successfully delivered a broad
projects such as;
400+ Node network, wiring and switching -Government |
Scope5
Buildings
Single campus
Scalable
Solution
A two layer wiring solution
Node 0 is connected to local nodes using Fibre optic cables
Node Layer 1 is connected to workstations and equipment
using 100 Mbps over Cat 5e

The use of fibre optical cabling between the wiring hubs
provided two key benefits. First it ensures link quality by
removing EMF interference and distance issues. The second is
that fibre cables allow for almost unlimited upgrading of
link speed as required.
Layer 3 switching was implemented using HP Pro-curve
switches.
Company IT merger |
Scope
Two Melbourne law firms required full system
integration as the two companies merged into a single firm.
Interruption to services must be limited.
All data must be maintained.
Solution
After analysing the two separate systems, it was decided
to keep the infrastructure of the larger firm and move as
much equipment and data from the smaller firm across.
Data and workstations were migrated during a weekend to
reduce impact to business.
Success of this project was primarily due to extensive
migration testing prior to the go live weekend.
Analysis database |
Scope
A Government testing house required a system
to collect an extensive amount of testing data. This data
needed to be stored and processed to evidentiary standards.
Solution
A detailed scope of works was prepared
covering the multiple data formats and complex reporting
capabilities. Once finalised this was release as a RFQ to a
number of specialist development firms.
Strong scope control by both parties
allowed this project to be successfully delivered and has
been commissioned as a mission critical application for the
organisation.
